On Thursday, we pulled off the surprise of all surprises for Mrs Appleby.
Pupils, staff, parents and the wider local community pulled together to prepare and perform a wonderful service at Hackthorn Church. The children sang a song, worded especially for Mrs Appleby and the staff put together a lovely 'memoirs' speech.
Mrs Appleby sang a stunning perrformance of 'The Blessing' and took the audiences breath away. Showing us she was also full of surprises!
It was a bittersweet service.
