Many thanks to Revd Watson for the uplifting and encouraging address.
Our new Christian value of ‘Compassion’, linked to the Hackthorn way value of ‘Community’, has been prevalent over the past few weeks, firstly in our Harvest Festival as our pupils processed through the church with their harvest offerings, which were donated to the community foodbank and Nomad Trust.
It was a truly uplifting service with the customary enthusiastic singing of traditional harvest songs, bible verses confidently read by the Year 6s and rousing performances of the 'Vegetable Rap' and 'Dingle Dangle Scarecrow' by KS1.
